Guangzhou South Railway Station is the core transportation hub in South China, integrating high-speed rail, intercity railway, subway, long-distance passenger transport and other transportation modes, is one of the railway stations with the largest passenger flow in the country, and undertakes the core task of efficient commuting and distribution inside and outside the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The project covers core functional areas such as elevated waiting halls, platform canopies, and passenger transfer channels, as well as supporting mechanical and electrical areas with strict environmental requirements such as central air conditioning rooms, ventilation and smoke exhaust duct systems, and equipment conversion layers.
The high requirements of large transportation hubs for indoor temperature and humidity regulation, energy consumption control and acoustic environment order have given rise to the unique pain points of thermal insulation of the project. The elevated waiting hall and transfer passage have open space, a huge disparity in floor height, dense passenger flow, and large air circulation, which needs to maintain a suitable room temperature for a long time to ensure the passenger experience, and poor thermal insulation will lead to a sharp increase in energy consumption of the air conditioning system. The air ducts, heating and cooling units and various transmission pipelines of central air conditioning are prone to energy loss and condensation condensation problems due to the significant temperature difference between the inside and outside the hub and the frequent airflow exchange. The precise control of the conversion layer of mechanical and electrical equipment The operation of the equipment also needs to stabilize the temperature and humidity environment to ensure the working conditions. In addition, the entry and exit of trains in the station and the flow of people generate a lot of noise, and insulation materials need to take into account the functions of efficient sound absorption and noise reduction, and multiple requirements put forward strict standards for the comprehensive performance of materials.
The selection of insulation materials for the project closely follows the core needs of energy saving, efficiency, safety and reliability, and acoustic environment optimization of large transportation hubs. In the air duct system and mechanical and electrical equipment insulation project of the waiting hall, the selected insulation materials are suitable for the working conditions of large space, high passenger flow and high-frequency ventilation of transportation hubs, and have efficient thermal insulation, fire and flame retardant and excellent sound absorption and noise reduction functions. At the same time, the selected materials meet green building standards, meet the strict requirements of environmental protection and cleanliness, no harmful gas emissions, anti-aging and durability in public places, and are highly consistent with the construction concept of the project to build a world-class transportation hub and low-carbon sustainable operation.
