
Shunde Hospital ,Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a tertiary first-class integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and preventive health care, and is also an important regional medical center in Shunde District, undertaking the core tasks of diagnosis and treatment, emergency treatment and inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine in the region. The total construction area of the project is more than 200,000 square meters, covering core buildings such as outpatient buildings, inpatient buildings, medical technology buildings, traditional Chinese medicine characteristic diagnosis and treatment centers, and scientific research laboratory buildings, with 1,500 designed beds, which can meet the service needs of more than 1.8 million outpatient visits per year. The insulation project covers core medical areas such as inpatient wards, intensive care units (ICUs), operating rooms, and traditional Chinese medicine preparation rooms, as well as supporting mechanical and electrical areas with strict environmental requirements such as central air-conditioning rooms, medical gas pipeline wells, and precision medical equipment rooms.
The ultimate requirements of modern general hospitals for accurate and constant indoor temperature and humidity, energy consumption control and quietness of the sound environment, coupled with the special scene needs of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine diagnosis and treatment, have given birth to the unique thermal insulation pain points of the project. Inpatient wards, ICUs and operating rooms need to maintain a constant temperature and humidity environment for a long time, temperature and humidity fluctuations directly affect patient recovery and surgical safety, poor insulation will lead to a sharp increase in energy consumption of the air conditioning system, and it is easy to cause condensation on the wall to breed bacteria; Traditional Chinese medicine preparation rooms and scientific research laboratories need to strictly control temperature and humidity to ensure drug quality and experimental accuracy. Medical gas pipelines, central air conditioning ducts and other pipelines are densely arranged, which is prone to energy loss and condensation problems due to the temperature difference between inside and outside, and may also affect the purity of medical gas. At the same time, the hospital needs to create a quiet diagnosis and treatment and rehabilitation environment, and the operating noise of the equipment around the ward and operating room needs to be controlled by insulation materials taking into account sound absorption and noise reduction.

In the insulation project of medical gas pipelines and central air conditioning ducts, the insulation materials used are suitable for the long-term stable operation of medical pipelines, have excellent thermal insulation performance, fire retardant and anti-aging properties, and can effectively avoid condensation and energy loss. At the same time, the selected materials are all formaldehyde-free and environmentally friendly products without harmful gas emissions, which meet the strict requirements of green building standards and environmental protection and cleanliness of medical places, and are highly consistent with the construction concept of the project to create a high-quality medical benchmark for integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine and low-carbon sustainable operation.
